“Switch it Up: Learn How to Make Your Family’s Favorite Snacks Healthier” by Jackie Zarkower is a phenomenal book that is full of wonderful recipes, and the author really understands today’s parents’ struggles in trying to get kids to eat more healthily. My kids were constantly begging for chips and cookies to satiate their cravings until I found this book and began making the recipes. Some of our favorites include zucchini fries, sweet potato brownies, and flowing energy balls…to name just a few! Coming from someone who does not love cooking, I can tell you that this is not just a recipe book but a fun manual filled with great ideas (let the kids help—they will want to eat it!), helpful conversion charts (a really logical school lunch chart too!), and easy-to-follow tips (be organized and prepare in advance). This book is a MUST for your kitchen if you want your kids or grandkids eating more healthily (and we all do!)
